We're pretty mellow here at the Ranch, but please read these before you reserve your room.
- Check-in
- Check-in is from 3 pm to 7 pm. Later arrival can be arranged ahead of time; call 530-926-3870.
- Check-out
- Check-out is at 11 am.
- Cancellations
- To have your deposit refunded, cancel at least seven days before your reserved date. Deposits can't be refunded for cancellations made less than seven days before the reservation date.
- Rates and extra guests
- Main House and Carriage House rates are for single occupancy; Cottage rates are for double occupancy. Each extra person, including children, is $35 per night.
- Children
- Children are welcome. There is an additional charge of $35 per child.
- Dogs
- One dog per room is allowed, at $25 per night. Dogs can't be left unattended in the room at any time and aren't allowed in the dining room.
- Minimum stay
- The Cottage has a two-night minimum stay.
- Smoking
- Smoking is permitted only outside, on porches and patios.
- Breakfast
- Breakfast is for current overnight guests only.
- Groups

- How to book
- Reservations are made online through ResNexus, our secure booking service. Please read the policies before you book.
Frequent questions
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! One dog per room, at $25 per night. Your dog can't be left unattended in your room at any time, and dogs aren't allowed in the dining room (those pesky health codes). Call 530-926-3870 or send us a message for more information.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! A $35 per child fee applies. Call 530-926-3870 or send us a message for more information.
Are children full price?
We charge an additional $35 per child.
Will I get my deposit refunded if I cancel?
Yes, if you cancel at least seven days before your reserved date. We can't refund deposits for cancellations made less than seven days before your reservation date.
How many people can stay in one room?
It varies. Most Main House rooms sleep up to 4, Carriage House rooms sleep 2 (rooms 1 and 5 can take a roll-away bed for a third guest), and the Cottage sleeps up to 8. See the room details for each room.
Can I come to the Ranch for breakfast if I'm not a guest?
No, sorry. You must be a current guest to enjoy our home-cooked breakfasts.
Do you allow smoking?
Yes, outside only, on the porches and patios.
Can I check in late?
Yes, we can make arrangements for you to arrive after regular check-in hours (3 pm to 7 pm). Call 530-926-3870 or send us a message.
Do you host weddings and events?
Yes. The Ranch hosts intimate weddings, elopements, anniversaries, retreats, workshops and business off-sites. With the Main House, Carriage House and Cottage we can accommodate up to 34 overnight guests, and the grounds, including the tiered lawn and large front veranda, hold up to 80. Overnight guests get a large country breakfast each morning, plus snacks, tea and coffee. The meeting space has Wi-Fi and an 80-inch computer-ready TV for presentations, and we can help with planning and catering. Call 530-926-3870 to plan your event.
What should I pack?
In winter we can get significant snow, so bring warm clothes and chains for the car, or come with all-wheel drive. In summer temperatures can reach the 90s or more, so bring light, comfortable clothes and sunscreen.
How far is the Ranch from Interstate 5?
About five minutes. Take the Central Mt. Shasta exit (Exit 738). We're roughly 60 miles north of Redding and 60 miles south of Medford, Oregon.
Is the Ranch open all year?
Yes, the Ranch is open year round.
